Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four kids born August 9, 1976 at Beaumont Puy of Domme. The actress was encouraged by her dentist, parents and a teacher who were both instructors in her pursuit of her passion for theatre. This was in contrast her earlier ambition to pursue a career as a primatologist since she was fascinated by monkeys. In her early years she became a star was quick and filled with the beginning of her successes. In 1998 after her studies, she was a participant in an French talent-scouting television program called Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before beginning her acting career with a bang. Tautou was educated at the Institut Catholique de Paris, and was a member of the church when she was an infant. But she's since removed herself from this history. She claims that she's not necessarily Catholic. As well as her acting profession, she tried her hand at modeling. The model is also the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. Photographing is a love of hers and she has been exhibiting her work at the Arles festival in France under the name Superficial. The majority of her photography is focused on celebrities and their fame. She also concentrates to the journalists who watched her after her meteoric popularity alongside Amelie and a series of self-portraits. Audrey Tautou became a star and was recognized internationally for her role debut as Amelie Poulain in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie has been a worldwide box office smash and was a cult hit at numerous ceremony awards around the world. It is the most successful French language film to be released in the US. After this film's success, Tautou appeared in a wide range of films from British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday de fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood by directing Ron Howard of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
