Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul singer as well as songwriter and actress. Alongside a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she's also up for nomination as an Academy Award. Andra Day is an imposing singer and artful songwriter who is not just a throwback R&B specialist. Her roots are in gospel music and blues she performs with grace and finesse are passed on to the present. The debut album of Andra Day, Cheers to Autumn (2015) has topped the hiphop/R&B charts, and her contributions towards Marshall (2017) earned the singer the Grammy Award and Academy Award. Andra Day was born Cassandra Monique Batie, in Edmonds Washington. She grew in San Diego and the metropolitan city. She sang in church and attended The School of Creative and Performing Arts. Following her graduation from the school, she was drawn to modern R&B and pop music, but was eventually drawn back to the classic jazz and soul singers she was exposed to in her youth. Kai Millard Morris recorded a concert of Day in the following year, then later gifted her husband Stevie Wonder some of Day's material. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz then introduced Day to veteran music industry figure Adrian Gurvitz. Day got signed by Warner Bros. after gaining the attention of a huge YouTube fan base along with Gurvitz & Jeffrey Evans Buskin. DJs quickly played it on the radio. The singer then signed with Warner Bros. Records. Adrian Gurvitz recorded her debut album Cheers in the fall of. The album included the track Rise up, which was adopted as a national anthem by groups for social justice across the globe. Day received 2 Grammy nominations for the album including Best R&B Album. The United States against Billie Holiday is a concept recording about the legend jazz singer. It came out by Day in the year 2019. The United States Versus Billie Holiday is a biographical account of Holiday which was released in the in the same year. Andi Mattichak is an American actor. She began her career in TV series like Orange Is the New Black 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her first film role was when she appeared as Allyson in the horror show Halloween. Andi Mattichak was born the 3rd of May, 1994 in Framingham Mass.
